The Institute of the German Economy estimates the financial damage caused last year by hacker attacks on employees in their home offices at 52.5 billion euros. This is a new record. Current surveys by the digital association Bitkom also show an overall increase in damage caused by cybercrime: German companies incurred losses of 223.5 billion euros as a result of data theft, industrial espionage or sabotage. This is more than twice as much as in the last survey period. As a trade fair for IT security, it-sa is dedicated to professional defense against cybercrime from October 12 to 14 - this year again as usual in the Exhibition Center Nuremberg.
