All of the new products and innovations for the 2018 bike season have to be ready when the premiere curtain rises at the leading trade show at Lake Constance. The Eurobike is once again the international platform for global innovations. From Wednesday, August 30 to Saturday, September 2, 2017, 1400 exhibitors from 50 countries will present themselves in Friedrichshafen. At our press conference, we will introduce some of the bike industry’s latest innovations and will talk about current trends and everything that is on offer at the 26th edition of the show.
Be it high-tech fashion, architectural use of textile materials or a journey through space using virtual-reality glasses: in collaboration with the European Space Agency and the German Aeronautics Centre (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt – DLR), as well as numerous other partners, Techtextil and Texprocess are offering, in the ‘Living in Space’ section, a unique and elaborately staged special display area. Texprocess, too, will be launching a new feature: for the first time, a ‘Digital Textile Micro Factory’ will demonstrate, live, the workings of an integrated textiles production line, from design to cutting and digital printing through to finishing.
With the BionicCobot, Festo has now developed a pneumatic lightweight robot for the first time, which due to this flexibility can work together with humans directly and safely. In terms of its kinematics, the robot is based on the human arm. Like its biological role model, it solves many of its tasks with the help of sensitive movements. Due to its unique drive concept, which works according to the agonist-antagonist principle, the motion dynamics and rigidity can be variably adjusted.
Ready, steady, Tendence: The most international order platform in the second half of the year will appear in a new light from 24 to 27 June 2017. At our international online press conference, we would like to inform you about the concept of the fair, the programme of events and many other highlights, as well as exchange ideas and information with you and answer your questions.

Sensitive and gentle or powerful and dynamic – in terms of its movements and functionality, the BionicMotionRobot is inspired by an elephant’s trunk and an octopus’s tentacles. The pneumatic lightweight robot features 12 degrees of freedom and, with its flexible bellows structure, can effortlessly implement the fluent motion sequences of its natural role models. The concept of the flexible kinematics is based on the Bionic Handling Assistant from 2010, which, due to the safe collaboration between man and machine, was given the German Future Award.
The future of pneumatics: After the invention of the valve manifold, a further breakthrough innovation in pneumatics is now awaiting you in the form of the Festo Motion Terminal.
We cordially invite you to the international press conference of the two leading trade fairs – Techtextil and Texprocess. Join us on a journey to Mars and the infinite expanses of the universe! Discover how technical textiles and their processing have provided a key to the colonisation of space. Thursday, 12th January 2017, 10:00 a.m. (CET). Language: English with German translation.
